Supply Chain Disruptions, Extended Lead Times in 2021
March 26, 2021
To Our Valued Customers,
During the first quarter of 2021, we have been experiencing delays throughout our supply chain that may be impacting our ability to support your requested order delivery dates and expedite requests. In some cases, we are even having to decommit to shipment dates previously provided.
These delays have largely been caused by at least one of three factors that we have identified:
- Logistics delays both in international cargo and domestic freight due to increased demand for these services and reduced resource capacity due to Covid-19.
- Reduced or delayed factory output from our suppliers or our own facilities due to Covid-19 workplace restrictions or absences.
- Reduced supply of chemical and plastic feedstock from Gulf Coast processors in the wake of major storms in 2020 and 2021
We believe all of these conditions to be temporary, but the duration of which has not yet been defined. In the meantime, we are taking measures to minimize the impacts of these delays by anticipating them, planning for longer delivery of raw materials, carrying higher stock levels of common items, and routinely adjusting our production schedules to accommodate customer needs based on available materials and resources.
We value your business and request that you support these efforts for your benefit by ordering with longer lead times in mind. We also appreciate your patience and understanding that we may not be able to expedite or rush orders as we might normally be able to.
Our Customer Service Team (customerservice@concote.com) is the very best source of information regarding your order status and will work with you to the greatest extent possible to ensure your needs are met.
Sincerely,
Andrew B. Webb
